Renewal Information
The Board operates on a fiscal year from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. The Board notifies all licensees in early May of each year when the renewal window opens. The annual renewal fee for an active license is $200 while the annual renewal fee for an inactive license is $150. Any license that has not been renewed by June 30 will expire on July 1. During July and August of each year, expired licenses may be renewed by paying a late fee of 10% of the renewal fee per month, or portion thereof.
If not renewed by September 1, a license will be automatically suspended for non-renewal.
Continuing Education
All Kentucky licensees are required to report fifteen (15) hours of continuing education activities annually. Licensees are also allowed to carry forward up to fifteen (15) hours each year.
